Letter of Recommendation

Do you need a letter of recommendation? If yes, download and complete the Letter of Recommendation Information Form and provide it to your recommenders.

Keep the following in mind:

• Before sending or providing any materials, first ask the recommender if he/she can write you a positive letter of rec!
• Give the recommender 3 weeks to complete the letter
• Provide the recommender any specific form(s) a college or scholarship needs filled out
• If the organization is emailing the recommender, make sure the email is correct and follow up with that individual to ensure they received the communication
• If the letter has to be mailed, provide a stamped and addressed envelope to the recommender
• Remind your recommender a week before, and a day before, any deadline
