Online Course Requirement for Graduation
Rising 9th-12th grade students are required to complete a full online course by the time of graduation. Please note that if a class is typically a full credit (two semesters), the student must take the full credit online to meet the requirement. If it is typically a half credit (one semester) course, the student only needs to complete the one semester online.
FLVS and dual enrollment are the main routes for taking online courses. Please click one of the buttons below for more information about each of these programs. Hybrid dual enrollment courses do not satisfy this requirement for BDCHS.
A full, online course taken in grades 6, 7, or 8 will satisfy this requirement.
Driver's Ed online counts for ALL students towards meeting this requirement (for certain, previous graduating classes this was not the case).
The summer months offer the best time for a student to take an online course, because it will allow him/her to academically focus on just that one course.
