BDCHS Students and Families:
Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate High School believes strongly in the importance of promoting the growth of civic responsibility among the Phoenix student body. Because Brooks DeBartolo holds civic participation and community service in such a high regard, we are a Certifying Organization with the President’s Volunteer Service Award (PVSA). The PVSA is a program that recognizes United States citizens and permanent residents who have accumulated a specific number of community service hours. BDCHS is proud to honor Phoenix students who demonstrate exemplary service to their community through this program.
A Note from the President’s Volunteer Service Award Program:
Phoenix students are encouraged to register with the program to track their service hours and work toward meeting one of the eligibility areas noted on the program’s website: Bronze, Silver, or Gold Level, or the prestigious President’s Call to Service Award. The current award year extends from March 1, 2023 - February 29, 2024. Please be aware that hours entered after March 1, 2024 will be recognized in the 2023-2024 academic year.

A Note from the President’s Volunteer Service Award Program:
- “Presidential recognition sets you apart from your peers. It is a tremendous honor. Even though you may not seek recognition, your example can deliver a powerful message that encourages others to take action. The President’s Volunteer Service Award recognizes United States citizens and lawfully admitted, permanent residents of the United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime.” (President’s Volunteer Service Award, The Award, 2015).
